Drone defense & drone detection with USSP

Unauthorized drone flights endanger operations, privacy, and critical infrastructure. b.r.m. IT & Aerospace combines IT expertise and drone competence to turn data into actionable air situation pictures—making drone defense predictable, legally compliant, and effective. Our approach: networked sensor technology, robust control center IT, and U-Space processes that integrate seamlessly into your operations.

What we mean by drone detection

For us, detection means: recognizing, tracking, classifying. Depending on the environment, we combine RF signature analysis, specialized low-slow-small radar systems and electro-optical/IR sensors. These sources are used to create a consistent picture of the situation with reliable tracks, alarms and historical analyses. This turns individual findings into manageable procedures - from the plant security shift to the municipal control center.

Drone defense is a process - not just technology

Technical countermeasures are clearly regulated in Germany and often reserved for the authorities. This makes procedural interaction all the more important: detection, evaluation, escalation and documentation. We support operators with risk analyses, SOPs, role models and control center integration - so that in the event of an incident, every move is right and drone defense remains legally compliant.

Why Bremen? Strong arguments - already usable today

Bremen is an aerospace hotspot with short distances between industry, research and authorities. According to current discussions about a national drone defense center, the region has exactly what it takes: Knowledge and expertise in drone detection, qualified specialists and suitable test areas. The Oldenburg-Hatten airfield (EDWH) in particular offers ideal conditions for practical testing and training - including large-scale test areas in the metropolitan region. What can be measured and understood cooperatively today (legal UAS) can be expanded modularly with modules for non-cooperative scenarios. The decisive factor is that someone takes it into their own hands - we are ready.

Our role: From the control center to the real laboratory

The Bremen UAS control center is the basis for reliable drone services: We operate the data storage in our own data center and connect sensors and third-party systems via stable interfaces. The situation is clearly visualized, alarms are triggered automatically and reports are generated at the touch of a button.

We bring the practical experience to the real-world laboratory at Oldenburg-Hatten Airport (EDWH): we compare sensors, test detection rates, practice standardized procedures, and simulate real-life scenarios. With Drone Days, we connect partners and quickly spread best practices across the region.

Typical fields of application

  • Critical infrastructure (energy, port logistics, water): Perimeter protection with early warning and clear escalation paths.
  • Factory and airport premises: detection, alerting, situational awareness - integrated into existing safety/security organizations.
  • Events & authorities: Temporary concepts with graduated measures, responsibilities and verification.
  • Test & training at Oldenburg-Hatten airfield: sensor comparisons, practice situations, operator training.

From the region - for the region

Whether you are a municipal control center, plant security, or operator of critical infrastructure, we can help you implement drone detection and defense in a pragmatic way—scalable, auditable, and future-proof. Talk to us about your own drone defense center in the Bremen metropolitan region—we will show you how technology, processes, and responsibilities can be combined to form a reliable whole. Harald Rossol and Markus Rossol are happy to assist you.
