Malware: Preventing takeovers
In Latin, 'malus' means bad. Malware therefore refers to programs that harm your computer, programs that want to take it over, programs that try to spy on your activities or generally perform unwanted functions. Although 'computer viruses' also count as malware, these are usually programs that simply spread from computer to computer, whereas today's malware typically takes the form of a Trojan that has secretly boarded the command bridge on your computer.
As a rule, these Trojans find their way onto computers by carelessly downloading programs from obscure sources, using inadequate passwords or carelessly clicking on email attachments. We offer our customers comprehensive protection against malware. However, like other service providers, we cannot completely rule out careless actions on the part of the customer. If you suspect malware, please ask us first. Send us your suspected case before you carelessly click a mouse button.
