UAS for the security of critical infrastructure

Advanced Air Mobility - for more advanced aviation

The role of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in the protection of critical infrastructure is becoming increasingly important. These systems are characterized by their mobility and flexibility, which make it possible to monitor even areas that are difficult to access efficiently and effectively. They provide high-resolution, real-time data that enables rapid responses to threats such as unauthorized intrusion or technical faults. UAS can replace or supplement traditional security measures, reducing long-term costs while providing state-of-the-art sensor technology for reliable detection. Thanks to their seamless integration into existing security concepts, they ensure comprehensive protection coverage without disrupting the communication infrastructure. False alarms are minimized and the systems are flexible enough to adapt to new threats.

UAS can be used for a wide range of applications, from monitoring and inspection to the targeted prevention of damage. They have established themselves as indispensable tools, as they not only secure critical infrastructures such as energy plants and transportation networks, but also ensure their operational continuity and thus effectively protect society and the economy.

VI Rotor Drone Forum at the Bückeburg Helicopter Center

Rotor Drone Forum

Hello from the 6th Rotor Drone Forum in Bückeburg!

Just in time for the start of the new year 2025, the 6th Rotor Drone Forum kicked off yesterday with exciting presentations at the Bückeburg Helicopter Center.

After insights into current developments by the BMDV and the LBA, as well as impressions of the use of UAS in army logistics, we went through a diverse program of exciting unmanned aviation projects.

Today, on the second day, the focus is on drones for security tasks, passenger transportation and the use of unmanned systems in personal rescue.

Best regards, Markus Rossol

The anticipation for 2025 is great...

We hope that you have also made a successful start to 2025. In the meantime, the New Year receptions are over and everyday life has returned.

Just like last year, there will be a number of highlights in 2025. Some of these highlights are...

Drone Days 2025

We look forward to successfully shaping the year 2025 together with you.

Christmas greetings from b.r.m. IT & Aerospace GmbH

Christmas b.r.m. Drone

Ladies and gentlemen, dear colleagues, dear friends,

Santa Claus and his trusty VT-4 ray have long since completed their integration into our airspace and the children are once again waiting for his arrival.

This year has also seen a lot of work on integration in unmanned aviation, and perhaps we will soon be able to make Santa's work in the Christmas airspace easier.

As the year 2024 draws to a close, we would like to give you a brief review of the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) highlights that have moved us:

The AERO aviation trade fair took place in Friedrichshafen from April 17-20, 2024. With our Bremen joint stand "Specific Made in Bremen" and numerous partners, we were able to present the UAS activities in Bremen and northern Germany extensively.

In particular, we have shown the initial ideas of our UAS control center Bremen USSP - U-Space Service Provider.

Please take a look.

The ILA 2024 took place from 05.- 09.06.2024 in Berlin. We presented with the federal state of Bremen in the joint showcase of the northern German states, in CHALET EAST 22 - 24. In close cooperation with the actors of the "Bremen - City of Aerospace" we were able to present the topic "U-Space Reallabor Nord-Westdeutschland und Deutsche Bucht & UAS-Leitstelle Bremen (USSP)" to a national and international audience and enjoyed the lively exchange on UTM, ATM, USSP, LUC and other topics.

You can find a brief insight here.

Focke-Wulf - 100 years of aircraft construction - Bremen celebrates

On January 2, 1924, "Focke-Wulf Flugzeugbau A.G." began operations in Bremen. Even after 100 years, Bremen is still an outstanding location.

DRONE DAYS. There was a premiere at the airfield in Oldenburg-Hatten. The Drone Days 2024 took place.

What was actually an "unrealistic" idea at the ILA in June 2024 was put into practice within a few weeks. On August 30, 2024, the Drone Days were born.

Once again, many thanks to all the helpers, organizers, speakers and presenters. Here is also a review of the Drone Days 2024.

SAVE THE DATE, AUGUST 27-29, 2025

The SKADRO (Scalable Drone Communication Systems for U-Space Areas) project has now been in implementation since the beginning of 2024.

Together with our project partners, we are also looking forward to the year 2025. Find out more.

The UAS project "UAS LD HB - Demonstrator Services for the b.r.m. UAS control center Bremen USSP " is on the home stretch and will be successfully completed on time by December 31, 2024 with our USSP demonstrator. See here

Back in May, we were able to test the project idea "Advanced Air Mobility Initiative and real-world laboratory for safe UAS operations for north-western Germany and the German Bight" with an initial launch around our Hatten-UAS German Flight Center at Oldenburg-Hatten airfield (EDWH).

As part of a comprehensive permit, we now have 3600 km² of flying area available for BVLOS operations.(Details)

This approval has also been granted for 2025 and we are looking forward to more exciting UAS campaigns in the new year.

b.r.m. IT & Aerospace wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Annual network meeting "Niedersachsen Aviation" in Stuhr

The annual network meeting 2024 of Niedersachsen Aviation "Repair instead of replace" is taking place today in Stuhr.

The annual network meeting of Niedersachsen Aviation has been taking place on the premises of the Airbus European Repair Station in Stuhr since 10:30 am. One of the networking highlights for the aerospace industry in northern Germany.

Networking, accompanying exhibitions, factory tours, lectures, panel discussions and pitches offer an optimal supporting program. Mr. Olaf Lies, Lower Saxony's Minister for Economic Affairs, Transport, Building and Digitalization, will address the guests during the afternoon.

b.r.m. IT & Aerospace GmbH is represented by Harald Rossol at the annual network meeting of Niedersachsen Aviation in Stuhr.

Our Mr. Harald Rossol holds a pitch in Stuhr on the topic "Hatten-UAS German Flight Center"

If you have any questions on this topic, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Open Innovation Field Bremen - A real laboratory in the Bremen Technology Park

Today, Mr. Harald Rossol took part in the workshop "Open Innovation Field Bremen - A real laboratory in the Bremen Technology Park" at the Digital Hub in Bremen.

After a brief welcome and introduction to the topic, various stakeholders shared their thoughts on a real-world laboratory in the Bremen Technology Park in the form of short impulses.

We at "b.r.m. IT & Aerospace GmbH" also think this is a very good idea. It is also a natural way for several real laboratories to work together.

During the interactive and moderated workshop, the idea and the major advantages of such a real-world laboratory were also discussed and talked about.

A really great event.

Powerhouse North: Together for a strong region

We at b.r.m. IT & Aerospace GmbH and Flugplatz Oldenburg-Hatten GmbH are proud to actively support the Powerhouse Nord e.V. initiative. This cooperation once again demonstrates our commitment to a strong region and the promotion of innovative projects.

We firmly believe that our support for Powerhouse North will make a significant contribution to regional development.

On February 15, 2024, the "Powerhouse Nord" alliance, which is supported by 14 initiators, was presented at the University of Oldenburg. Since then, dedicated communication channels have been set up to increase the visibility of the project.

The first four specialist working groups - the so-called power centers - invite all interested parties to actively participate. July/August saw the launch of the annual campaign "Moin Wirtschaftsmacht! - We are the success between Ems and Elbe". Look forward to further information and exciting contributions that we will provide to our supporters in the coming weeks!
