AERO UAV DACH e.V. - Air traffic of tomorrow
AERO and UAV DACH e.V. reflect Germany's enormous potential in the drone sector. The annual AERO in Friedrichshafen is the place to be for drone enthusiasts.
b.r.m. will once again be represented by Harald Rossol and Markus Rossol at this year's AERO in Friedrichshafen 2022. The trade fair deals with general aviation, sets up models and offers interesting presentations by people well-known in the industry.
Inspired by AERO - UAV DACH e.V.
UAV DACH e.V. is the most widespread German-speaking professional association for unmanned aviation in Europe. It offers training and advice on the safe operation of drones. The company b.r.m. is a full member of UAV DACH e.V.
But it is not only interest groups that have recognized the fertile drone ecosystem and the associated expansion. EASA has scheduled a new legal basis for a new airspace, to be known as U-Space, for January 2023.
U-Space and USSP
U-space is a separate airspace for drones, which is very difficult to monitor and manage due to the many collision risks posed by the various flying objects. A so-called U-Space Service Provider is therefore necessary for the safe navigation and correct traffic information of unmanned flying objects. The USSP has the task of authorizing the flight and coordinating the air traffic accordingly. In order for this service to be used, the drone must first be registered.
Under the VTOL-EGM project, b.r.m. is involved in the field of drones/UAS. In the meantime, the Oldenburg-Hatten airfield is being further expanded as a test center for UAS/UAVs.
Hatten-UAS
The Oldenburg-Hatten airfield (EDWH) for the Hatten-UAS test center for drone tests is making progress. Transponder systems are being installed on wind turbines to ensure proper flight operations. The system receives the signals from the air traffic participants, including the corresponding flight direction and position.
The airfield initially serves as a test facility for UAS and UAV. Both terms originate from the English language and belong to the unmanned aerial systems. While UAVs are usually just drones, UAS describes the entire system, which consists of the flight system, control elements and ground station.
